Composite Lay-up and Machining

BITEC's composite area has a state of the art Baron autoclave capable of handling parts up to 4 feet in diameter by 6 feet in length. The autoclave has a temperature range from 0 to 650 degrees Fahrenheit, and a pressure range of up to 150 PSI. The temperature and pressure are controlled by a digital Barber Coleman controller and monitored on Honeywell gauges.

Clean Room

Our clean room meets industry standard of a class 10,000, and is specially equipped with humidity and temperature control to ensure a quality environment for layup.

Machining

BITEC has complete machining capabilities for the manufacture of special molds for use with laminate and sandwich composite construction. We also have indepth experience machining composite components. We can provide you with a finished product.

Materials

We have experience and knowledge to work with all of the modern prepegs from nylon epoxy to graphite phenolics, including all of the standard reinforcements.
